1.4 Million Playtex Pacifier Holder Clips Recalled Due to Choking Hazard

About 1.4 Million Pacifier Holder Clips were recalled by Playtex and CPSC due to choking hazard. Affected 1.25 Million of these units are distributed in the US while the rest of 150,000 units were distributed in Canada.

The said pacifier clips can tend to crack and small parts can break off. These broken small parts can cause the choking hazard among infants. There are already 99 reports of the holder cracking and or breaking. And there are no incidents of choking have been reported.

Affected Pacifier Holder Clip units come in three colors and design: the green with monkey figure, the pink with flower figure, and the blue with a tow truck figure. They are sold at Wal-Mart, Amazon, major retailers, juvenile product, baby and discount stores nationwide from July 2010 to October 2013 for about $3 a piece.
